Not a lot of change today. Considering my caffeine induced rant yesterday, I'll keep this one pretty short. Both Tyler and Parker were able to get round 3 of their heart medicine today, which was great news. Both were able to produce enough urine output that the docs were comfortable giving them their third and final round of indicine. Tomorrow morning they will both get their echo cariogram which will hopefully confirm the closure of their PDA's. Today found Tyler having a pretty relaxed day, while brother Parker wasn't quite in his normal kick back mode. He has had a day of constant adjustment with regard to his blood gasses. His Oxygen level in his blood was a veritable roller coaster today. They continually had to keep adjusting his O2 mixture in an attempt to keep is blood O2 stable. Tonight the docs finally decided to switch him back to his original respirator and off of his oscilating one. Their thought is that he is fighting the oscilator and trying to breath on his own. This new vent will help to accomodate that if that is the case. We'll see tomorrow.

Thanks for the thorough updates. You may not realize it, but Casey was a 30 week preemie with a host of problems. So, when you are feeling nervous, worried, stressed or just plain scared, think about Casey and how as a freshman he was as strong as any player on the varsity basketball team, how he's rarely been sick, how he's bright, athletic, funny and healthy.
I remember those first few weeks after Casey was born as being the most stressful of my life. I sure got a crash course in neonatal health care in a big hurry!! Then one day, Casey just took off being a normal kid and never looked back. That will happen with Tyler and Parker too. Just hang on!
You are all in my prayers. Call if you need something. Cindy Cutts
